Abstract

Exoplanets are one of the most rapidly growing branches of astrophysics to date. Current planet formation theory teaches us that planets orbiting close together should be similar in composition but there exist exoplanet systems that challenge this. I found that, while on the whole this theory holds up, there are a significant number of planet systems that differ, raising a plethora of exciting questions.
