Abstract

This project aimed to synthesise dicarbamates and investigate their electrochemical transformation through electrolysis. Dicarbamates were synthesised using diisocyanate and glycol alcohol starting materials in the presence of dibutyltin dilaurate (DBTDL) as a catalyst. The products were monitored using thin-layer chromatography (TLC), purified by column chromatography, and characterised using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The purified dicarbamates were subsequently subjected to electrolysis to investigate their electrochemical reactivity.
