Title

The Impact of Cultural Transitions and Social Stressors on the Mental Health of Indian Students Pursuing Higher Education Abroad in the United Kingdom

Subject

Global Sustainable Development

Description

This project investigates how cultural transitions and social stressors impact the mental health of Indian students pursuing higher education in the UK. Using standardised measures (ASSIS, BSES, MSPSS, WEMWBS) data from 42 participants revealed higher acculturative stress among students preparing to go abroad. Greater social support and bicultural self-efficacy were linked to lower stress and better wellbeing.
