Abstract

This project explores the vibrational lifetimes of carbon monoxide (CO) on different sites of platinum (Pt) nanoclusters (NC). This is a study looking into how different geometries affect the lifetime of CO vibrations on NCs. This research is important in the optimisation of nanotechnology in catalytic processes along with predicting light-driven CO desorption from NCs.
