My research project is chiefly concerned with habitability and the environment. The basic research aim is: How can we change our lifestyles to decrease our impact on our environment? My project focuses on academic travel and ecovillages as two areas of particular interest. My methodology is to conduct interviews with ecovillage residents and cycling between them to explore how academic research could be carried out without fossil fuels. At the ecovillages I seek to learn different techniques, technologies and practical knowledge about how they live.
