Abstract

An intersectional approach to gender and queer history is incredibly important, as experiences varied depending on class, gender and other social categories. The historiography around queer women in particular is a relatively new field, and the work conducted around working class queer women is aiming to rectify this by utilising those queer women on the margins to expand upon the traditional historical narrative.
