Abstract
My project will be covering the situation that British Education is facing with regards to the decline of German, one of the three European languages taught regularly in state schools. I will be examining statistics of its decline in comparison to French and Spanish, then I will explore the factors involved (eg: linguistic stigma of people/students, Brexit, linguistic barriers, etc.), and I will then conduct interviews/surveys of some schools that still teach German.
