Abstract

This paper investigates the effects of diabetes, age, and ethnicity on the likelihood of developing glaucoma using data from the 2023 US National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) using a multivariate logit model. The analysis identifies statistically significant positive associations between each of the primary explanatory variables and the risk of developing glaucoma. The study further proposes potential governmental interventions aimed at reducing the incidence of the disease.
