An introduction into the mechanism and application of fluorescent protein tagging, which was used to image the dynamics of the cytoskeleton and the vacuole membrane, the tonoplast, in Nicotiana benthamiana. These techniques are being used to elucidate organelle dynamics which can contribute to sustainable agronomy.
