Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease and epilepsy are characterised by inflammation in response to abnormal neuronal proteins. Ketogenic supplements are dietary supplements that alter the brain’s metabolic pathways and protect against this inflammation. This systematic review investigates the neuroprotective effect of ketogenic supplements on neurodegenerative conditions.
