Abstract

This project explores the possibility of using CAR-T therapy to treat allergies. A CAR-T receptor specific to IgE antibodies was designed, a plasmid containing the receptor was created and this was expressed in Jurkat T cells. An activation assay confirmed that these cells were activated in the presence of the IgE Fc region. This CAR-T receptor may therefore be used for further research as it could be able to specifically target and kill B cells expressing IgE.
