              <text>In the ever-evolving financial markets, the capability to test and validate trading strategies before their real-world application has become paramount. This research project has designed a robust back testing program utilizing MATLAB, a platform known for its computational efficiency and vast analytical capabilities. The core objective was to simulate historical trading to evaluate the potential profitability and risk of a general trading strategy.  Following successful simulations, the results and insights gained from the backtesting were employed to craft a live trading system, designed using the python programming language and connecting to both “paper” and real markets using broker provided API’s (application programming interfaces). Preliminary findings indicate the effectiveness in strategy &#13;
development and this research underscores the importance of backtesting in trading strategy development and the seamless integration of such tools in the trading ecosystem.</text>

              <text>This project sought to produce a small and easy to assemble current sensor for the purpose of measuring leakage current in power MOSFETs. This current can often be in the range of nanoamps and so requires a circuit to amplify the output of any sensor. The final design involved the use of a shunt resistor as well as a operational amplifier circuit to amplify the voltage across the shunt resistor. This amplified voltage was then measured by an Arduino microprocessor to be recorded. Although the design was largely functional on paper it would have restricted range as the amplifier was unable to effectively amplify currents in the high nanoamps. Additionally the protype device was damaged during testing due to a fault so further testing was not able to take place. Despite this the design is simple, inexpensive, and can be constructed from a small number of readily available components if there is access to PCB manufacturing equipment.</text>

                <text>This project involved applying Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations to study the Streptomyces adenylation–thiolation domain (PDB 5N9X) in non-ribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) pathways. Developed and implemented full MD workflows using the AMBER software suite on high-performance computing clusters, including parameterisation of ligands, system minimisation, equilibration, and production runs. Investigated substrate adenylation and thiolation steps, analysing conformational dynamics and catalytic geometries using Chimera and cpptraj.</text>
