<text>The Trieste model, eponymous with the Italian city, is founded on a community-oriented approach aimed at preserving human rights by replacing institutional psychiatry with comprehensive, decentralized care (Mezzina, 2014). The approach, introduced by psychiatrist Franco Basaglia, opposes the idea that mental illness is lifelong. Instead, it highlights the importance of social inclusion and greater access to work, housing, and civic life (Portacolone et al., 2015). In 1978, with the passing of Law 180, this vision was codified in law, leading to the closure of psychiatric hospitals and the development of local community services in their place (Badano, 2024). Features of the model include 24/7 community mental health centres, open-door policies, and strong links with social services (Mezzina, 2014). Since its inception, other places globally, such as San Francisco and Birmingham, have attempted to employ a similar model. This essay explores these attempts, their challenges, and what can be done to overcome them.</text>

<text>Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) polymerisation enables precise control over polymer molecular weight and dispersity, allowing the synthesis of structurally controlled polymers for gene delivery applications. This project investigated how polymer molecular weight influences DNA complexation in PolyHIPlex-based systems, which offer an alternative to lipid nanoparticles for nucleic acid delivery. The polymers were synthesised using controlled RAFT conditions and characterised via NMR and GPC, confirming successful polymerisation and tunable molecular weights. These findings support the development of more efficient and adaptable PolyHIPlex systems for DNA delivery.</text>

It turns out that if we consider the initial population to tend to infinity and dilate the time arbitrarily close to 0, the process behaves deterministically like the solution to an M-replicator equation ODE, where M is the expected payoff matrix of the process. <text>Abstract Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, heterogeneous autoimmune disease characterised by persistent synovial inflammation, progressive joint destruction, and associated pain, which typically manifests symmetrically in the peripheral joints (Uke et al., 2025; Misra, 2025). It is a progressive and debilitating condition, with considerable variation in clinical presentation among patients, often leading to severe functional impairment and a marked reduction in quality of life (Uke et al., 2025; Maeda et al., 2022). Globally, RA affects approximately 0.25–1% of the population, with prevalence varying across geographical regions and populations (Almutari et al., 2020; Di Matteo et al., 2023). Although the precise aetiology of RA remains unclear, oxidative stress has been identified as a key pathogenic mechanism. Elevated levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) contribute to synovial inflammation, joint destruction, and the development of systemic co-morbidities such as coronary artery disease (Wu et al., 2022). This has generated growing interest in the potential therapeutic role of antioxidants, which can scavenge ROS and mitigate oxidative damage (Jing et al., 2023). Among these, vitamin C has emerged as a particularly promising candidate due to its potent antioxidant properties and its role as a cofactor in numerous enzymatic processes regulating immune, vascular, metabolic, and neurological functions (Vollbracht & Kraft., 2022). Despite this theoretical potential, the precise impact of vitamin C on the activity and progression of RA remains uncertain. Evidence regarding its clinical utility in modulating disease mechanisms is still evolving. This literature review will critically evaluate the existing evidence on the relationship between vitamin C and RA, focusing on its prospective role in reducing disease activity and progression.</text>
